Partial-Flake Epoxy Flooring – Diamond Effects
Our Diamond Effects and Stone Silicate coating systems represent an advanced form of partial chip coatings compared to our Premium series. The key difference lies in the incorporation of both thermoplastic and mica stone in the flake blends. While thermoplastic chips offer color and contrast, mica stone adds a unique “reflectivity” that cannot be achieved with thermoplastic alone. Stone Silicate and Diamond Effects concrete coating systems consist of three layers: a moisture-mitigating epoxy base layer, a color coat, and a clear topcoat. The main distinguishing factor between Stone Silicate and Diamond Effects lies in the ratio of thermoplastic to mica mineral flakes. Stone Silicate utilizes a 90% mica stone flake blend, while Diamond Effects uses a 60% mica chip blend. Regardless of the blend, these partial-flake coating systems create a stunning look in various settings such as basements, bathrooms, kitchens, walkways, patios, as well as interior retail and commercial spaces.
